Istanbul day 6th 28.09.22
I woke up early today and let's drink a morning coffee😍 that Merve made for me yesterday I bought a charger and they gave me this, I didn't know what it is so I asked Helin and she told me it's just a receipt. waiting for Merve and Helin, Merve took a day off for me and Helin didn't want to go to school, so we went out together. Helin told me that she's so lucky cuz she just got notified that class was cancelled lol. after transferring by many buses we finally made it to the blue mosque!! there were so many people. women have to wear that scarf if they want to get into the blue mosque. and everyone has to take off the shoes, btw visiting this place is totally FREE can u believe that? but actually there weren't so many things to look at. so I just took 2 pics. people were worshipping down there. after for like a few minutes we left, on the way out u have to walk through a corridor and by there u see Muslim books r free to be taken, I took one of it.
then, we went to the Ayasofya church, it was pretty cool but overcrowded. and you have to wait in the long lines for visiting the church inside so it was a no for me, we didn't go in. instead we went into the yerebatan sarayi (sunken palace), the ticket fee for foreigners is 190 Lira but for local Turkish people is 40 or 50, Merve and Helin got student cards so they got a discount, 20 Lira for each.... that's so unfair lol. anyway this place is for water storage in the ancient times. like a water tank. Medusa wuuu, scary it wasn't really that big so after a small round we went out. u can literally see cats everywhere on the street. we walked for a little bit more and I started to be starving, so we found a place to have a sit and dinner. there's a fun story on the way, at first they wanted to go to the bank to withdrawal money and I was like what for? I got money on me let's just go and eat but they wouldn't let me. they found 2 banks to withdrawal money but they failed and I was like come on u r wasting everybody's time, but Merve insisted. so I was like ok this is the final bank if u still fail to withdrawal money let's go and have food and she was like ok deal. and luck on me she didn't get it lol and she was like I don't remember we had a deal. but nah I persuaded them. so we had kebab(something like barbecue, in China we call it Turkish barbecue) the food was good but we were sitting on the side of the street and it was so crowded so there's a huge traffic jam on the road, and the smoke of the automobiles got me, the food was good but the smoke to me was like damnnn.
so after finishing the food I decided to get some bubble tea, since they never tried it before and we found one real close to the place where we were, it was opened by some Malaysian, before I walked into the store there were a few Malaysian speaking Mandarin outside so I asked the staff do u guys speak Mandarin and he was like nah just English.
