Sciences而這個猛獁象標本是這個博物館的鎮館之寶了（也是這個博物的logo）。介紹上說這頭成年猛獁象是從高處墜落而死，始終保持著這個姿勢，之後被人們發現後就開始展出。雖然外表看起來保存十分完好，但是其頭部很明顯可以發現是之後人為製作的外表皮膚。

↑涅瓦河 涅瓦河畔的潛艇2座博物館逛完後已接近傍晚了，打車前往西邊的港口。
↑涅瓦河曾經彼得大帝在波羅的海的出 海口
建造了這座城市並且大力發展造船業，從而造就了沙俄帝國的繁榮。在這裡的港口還能看到船塢以及2艘停在港口維護的現役戰略核潛艇（上圖）。而附近不遠處則停泊著一艘C-189（其實是S-189，俄語中的S是寫成C）常規潛艇。

這艘C-189號潛艇，屬於蘇聯“613項目”中型潛艇。1954年9月在波羅的海造船廠建造，在波羅的海艦隊服役，1986年轉交預備役，部署在克朗施塔特，1990年正式退役。現在作為博物館對公眾開放。
